Popular wisdom says: "One move is worse than two fires." And in fact, during the transportation of things from one place to another, some objects break, others break, and still others are lost. To prevent the move from turning into a natural disaster, the first step is to properly pack your things.

Necessary

  • - carton boxes;
  • - bags, suitcases;
  • - wide tape;
  • - newspapers;
  • - air bubble film;
  • - soft tissue;
  • - plastic bags;
  • - marker;
  • - rope;
  • - vacuum bags.

Instructions

Step 1

Start packing with fragile and breakable items - dishes, porcelain figurines, glassware, and more. Wrap everything with bubble wrap, newspaper or soft cloth. For example, flannel. It can also be replaced by napkins, towels or several layers of toilet paper. Then carefully place the items in the cardboard boxes.

Step 2

It is better to put clothes in large checkered Chinese bags or suitcases. At the very bottom, put things that you will not need in the near future. For example, if you move to a new place in the summer, put away fur coats, jackets, warm sweaters.

Step 3

Pack blankets and pillows in special vacuum bags, thanks to which things will decrease in size. This will save space in your bag.

Step 4

Small electrical appliances - hair dryer, curling iron, iron, tape recorder, DVD-player, telephone, modem, mixer, blender, etc. put in their "native" packaging. If it is not preserved, wrap the technique with a cloth or towels, and then fold it into a box.

Step 5

Various unbreakable trifles, such as stationery, combs, hair curlers, hairpins, cosmetics, can be folded into a small container. And to make it easier to find the item you want later, sort everything into separate plastic bags.

Step 6

For ease of transportation, disassemble cabinets, sideboards, sleeping sets for spare parts. Do not forget to number the details so that later you do not get confused which one is from which cabinet. Place newspaper or cloth between the walls and shelves to avoid scratching. Then tie up the disassembled furniture with ropes or paper tape. Wrap glass shelves, mirrors and display cases with bubble wrap. Upholstered furniture, if possible, is also best disassembled and wrapped in polyethylene. Lay out the furniture fittings (nuts, bolts, screws) in separate bags and attach with tape to the furniture from which they were unscrewed.

Step 7

Pack your jewelry, money, bank cards, documents in one box. Transport them to a new location personally, do not trust such valuable things to transport companies.

Step 8

Remember to sign every bag and box. For convenience, it is better not just to write "mom's things" or "kitchen", but to make a list of all the items in this bag or box. So later it will be easier to quickly find the right thing.
